The poems Hour and Nettles are both poems about the relationship between two or more people. Both poets used some of the same principles but they also use very different structures. Below are some of the examples that I have found. In the poem Hour and Nettles, the poet always presents the information by relating most of the words or phrases used in the passage with the title. In the poem Hour the poem has used Loves times a beggar. This phrase relates to the poems title cause it comes under hour which comes under the category time. This phrase is saying that when you are in love with someone there Is never enough time that you are able to have when spending time with them. In the poem Nettles the poet uses The boy came seeking comfort and I saw white blisters beaded on his tender skin. When the parents son had returned home after so long he was covered In wounds from the war and was In so much pain he needed comfort to take the pain he had received away. Using key words that are to do with the poem Hour and Nettles emphasizes on the actual meaning of the poem so that the reader can relate more to he poem. Both poets have used the same structure making the ending verses rhyme with the next line. In both poems, both poets have presented the relationships by showing the problems that they have within their relationships. Both poems also focus more on the negative side of their relationship rather than the positive. In the poem Hour although the persona suggests that to be with a loved one, even for Just an hour, is precious and valuable it also presents the traditional idea of time as an obstacle to lovers. The persona states that time hates love, wants love poor. This wows that the persona Is complaining that time Is mostly the only factor that really affects a relationship. In the poem Nettles the persona complains about how hard It Is to cope having a son that Is In the army and how much It affects the family. It also talks about how much the son has to go through as well and the wounds that he receives. Nettles also relates to the category time because the persona also talks about not having enough time to stay with his son because before the son has been healed he has been called to go back and the he would often feel wounds again. This indicates that time is part of the problem that is affecting the personas relationship with his child. Another factor that both poets have in common is their relationship with the reader. In the poem Nettles, the poet uses military language which effects the reader. It makes the reader feel upset and maybe even anger because of the wounds and pain the son is going through. It helps the reader to connect with the poem making It easier for them to understand. It also shows what the parents have to deal with because of the fact that their son Is going to war not knowing whether he ill ever come back to them. They also do not know how Injured he will be the next and always referred to how nothing dark will end our shining hour and also displays the love between the two people because of the thousands of seconds we kiss. Another way the poets have compared the relationships that are in their poem is that in both poems the authors have a deeper meaning to the poem. In the poem Nettles the father secretly does not want his son to go to the army because of the thought of losing him because of the harsh conditions and the risk of death and also the state e comes back home in whether he will arrive as he went or comeback as a different person. Hour shows that the she does not want to let everything out because of painful, personal memories and feelings. She feels that if she loses that person it would feel the pain she felt all over again. Hour is an overall loving and affectionate poem showing relationship between the couple displaying how much one of them means to them, describing their love, whereas Nettles is more about the love between the family (father and son). It shows the relationship that the dad and his son share and also the relationship between the family as a whole.

Through his journey to New Holland, Tom suffers from the loss and separation of many friends and family. Tom only pulls his courage cloak around himself tighter, concealing his pain and loneliness, as he bravely pushes forward. The Scarborough, one of the eleven ships in the first fleet, was due to take 1450 passengers to Botany Bay. Those including officers, surgeons, sailors marines and their families, as well as convicts. Aboard the ship, Tom was youngest of all the male convicts, wearing ragged clothes and weighed down by the heavy chains cuffed to their arms and legs. They were held in the dark confined space blow deck and sent the required food and water. During the times convicts were permitted above deck, Tom spotted a well dressed boy roughly his age, with his father. Later observed that the boys name was Rob and that his father was a sergeant. After undergoing harsh and dreadful weather notations the first fleet finally reached New Holland, just in time to claim the land, before two French exploration ships arrived after them. Another five hours later the ships had sailed to Port Jackson, where the ships unloaded and the passengers began to settle. After Tom worked in various places with differentials, he was eventually assigned to the custody of Sergeant Stanley, which Tom recognizes was Robs father. Tom grew very close to Rob and his father, as he helped with the growing of their crops and animals. Spending such time with Rob, Tom discovered that Robs dream was to be an architect. TO design and build his own constructions. In the boys spare time from tending their crops in the afternoon, they wander the land to find an Indian women. A sorrowful expression masking her face. The woman kept gesturing for the boys to come as she led them inland, sharing all the food she could gather She needs to give, thought Tom. He could see the pain in her eyes, the pain that was so familiar to himself. The many twists within the novel, constantly keeps the reader interested and encourages them to read on rather. The characters in this story are also very well portrayed. Tom is depicted as a very kind hearted and trustworthy friend. He has a brave, strong willed personality that supported him in the most difficult times. The main moral message conveyed in this novel is, that if you always remain positive and stay strong, youll be able to make it through any arduous situation. Tom Appleby, Convict Boy won the 2005 Childrens Book of the Year Award: Younger Readers. I would strongly recommend this novel for all ages to read. This moving life story will keep you captivated till the very end.

These classifications depend according to the immediate need of management. I have classified different types of cost and have explained each of them below. These costs are normally classified by manufacturing companies as direct and indirect costs. Direct cost Direct costs are all those cost that are directly linked with the production of goods and services. The direct costs can be further divided into 3 main categories. Direct materials costs Direct Material is the initial material that goes into the final product and can be traced back to it from the finished product. E g: A company that manufactures note books will use papers, ink, stapler pins, machines and labors for producing books. Here the papers, ink and stapler pins are the direct material for this company. So any cost incurred in buying and handling of these raw materials can be taken under the direct raw material costs. Direct labor costs Direct labor cost is the cost of employees or workers directly involved in the production of goods or a service. E g: The wages of inspectors, store keeper, watchmen, machine maintenance etc. Indirect expenses/ overheads costs Indirect expenses are the expenses are not directly linked with the production of a good. These costs are charged to the final product. E g: Selling and administrative expenses, telephone expenses etc. Types of costs Cost can also be classified based on how frequent they react to production. Fixed cost Fixed cost is the cost that never changes over a period of time. And also it does not increase with the output of the firm. E g: Rent, wages of permanent workers etc. Variable cost Variable cost is the cost which sustain of the input that vary with the production level. These cost change in the short run. E g: cost of raw materials, wages paid for the worker of the production line. Semi variable cost Semi variable cost is composed of a mixture of fixed and variable elements. Therefore it also named as semi fixed cost. It is also referred to those cost that remain as a fixed cost until a particular level at which it becomes variable. E g: monthly rental for a phone may be charged with call charges. Here the rental is fixed as the call charges are variable. Costing methods are used by companies as means for pricing or stock valuation and to control business or to assist in managerial decision making. Therefore job costing is mostly used in a situation where the products manufactured or service provided are based on a particular specification of the customer or many goods are made for costing done separately. The productions of these goods are higher due to the fact that they are orders placed by customers. E g: Job costing used in construction industry because the constructions based on the orders placed by the customers. Here the costs are calculated separately for each building. Batch costing Batch costing means all the fixed and variable cost which is incurred when producing a batch or a set of products. Here a number of products are taken as a single job in total. The unit cost of a batch of products can be calculated by dividing the batch cost by the number of units produced. E g: A shoe manufacturing company may produce 100000 products per month. These 100000 products may be labeled as a batch at that particular date and cost is calculated for the entire batch taking all products as a single job. Contract or terminal costing Contract costing is also similar to job costing. It is usually connect with site based work, by the requirement s of the customers undertaken and relatively long duration. E g: Company involved in the construction industry may use this method as individual customers place different contracts which last for several years or accounting periods. Process costing Process costing is found where the product go through various stages as it goes to the finished product. Products which are made by combining different parts of the final product are also including the process costing method. The following is terms are also used under process costing. Operation costing Single or output costing E g: A finished computer passes through various processes. First of all are made separately and they are fixed together in the final progress. For this product the costing is calculated based on the process. Operation costing or service costing Operation costing method is used by companies which does not have a specified finish product as the output like the service industry. E g: Service of a lecture Departmental costing Here the costing of the products is based on the departments at which they are produced. Costs of products are calculated as how cost and at which department. E g: News papers are made at different departments. Multiple costing or composite costing Multiple costing applied to calculate the cost for the products which have a very complex production. For these kinds of products one costing method may not be enough. Therefore they use several costing methods in calculating. E g:- Products like vehicles, airplanes etc. the total cost is based upon a mixture of sub prices calculated in the job costing and service costing etc. Control and managerial decision making Activity based costing It is the attribution of costs to cost units based on the benefits received from indirect activities. E g: Cost of quality controls is spread among the units produced and each contains a part of this expense. Historical costing Historical costing is ascertaining costs after it have been incurred so that costs can be compared over different period. Direct costing All direct costs are charged to the finish product and all indirect products are charged to profit and loss. Absorption costing Here both variable and fixed costs are taken as a total cost and charged on the product. Marginal costing In this costing method the variable costs are taken rather than the full cost of production and total fixed costs are deducted to get the profit or loss. E g: A company is producing mobile phones. The company wants to earn a minimum of $100000 profits in one month and has set a target of producing 5000 mobile phones in order to achieve the profit. And after a month the company is able to make 6000 mobile phones. Effectiveness = 6000/5000 Effectiveness = 1.2 However Effectiveness and Efficiency always expresses the relativity between each others to the Management as follows: How it is done? If variety is reduced, there is no need to inspect manufactured items for defects, because there wont be any. Move towards a single supplier for any one item. Multiple suppliers mean variation between feedstock. Improve constantly and forever. Constantly strive to reduce variation. Institute training on the job. If people are inadequately trained, they will not all work the same way, and this will introduce variation. Institute leadership. Deming makes a distinction between leadership and mere supervision. The latter is quota-and target-based. Drive out fear. Deming sees management by fear as counter-productive in the long term, because it prevents workers from acting in the organizations best interests. What is value? Value means extent to which a good or service is perceived by its customers to meet his or her needs or want, measured by customers willingness to pay for it. It commonly depends more on the customers perception of the worth of the product than on its intrinsic value. Principle of value for any organization Anticipation: the anticipated future benefits to be derived from the property. Balance: the equilibrium reached in a free market when complementary used of neighboring property permit maximum value for individual properties and the neighborhood. Change: the continuing effects of economic, social, and governmental forces on the property and its environment, resulting in continuous change in market value which must be anticipated. Competition: the tendency of a highly profitable use to be duplicated by others until an excess supply of similar goods and services reduces profitability, and thus value. Conformity: the creation of maximum market value through a reasonable degree of similarity of property use, appearance, and owner demographics. Consistent use: the requirement to value all aspects of a property: land, improvements, and personal property on the basis of a single class of usage at any given point in time. But its frequency is taken depending on class width which can vary unlike in a bar graph. It can be used to identify whether or not a cause and effect relationship exists between the two variables. Your Organ Donor Status Matters Essay -- Argumentative, Persuasive Ess

"I think you should automatically donate your organs because that would turn the balance of organ donation in a huge way. I would donate whatever anybody would take..." -- George Clooney According to the Organ Procurement and Transportation Network, a branch of The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there are over 134,000 people awaiting the lifesaving gift of an organ in the United States. At sixteen, all I could think about was getting my license and finally gaining my independence. The night before going to the DMV my mom helped me file the paperwork, shocked that her little girl was going to be behind the wheel. When she came to the question of becoming a registered organ donor, I quickly responded â€Å"No! I do not want my organs in someone else’s body after I’m dead! I want to be buried whole and complete!† After a brief discussion, in which my mom tried to explain what being a registered donor entailed, I still held my ground on NOT becoming a donor. I had no idea then the impact the system as a whole would have on my life. At sixteen, when I made my decision not to become a registered donor, there were many things I did not know about donation and the donation system as a whole. Many misconceptions of donation were at that forefront of my mind, as they are the first things many people think of when they think on donation. The biggest and most popular reason to not become a donor is a strong mistrust in doctors and the entire medical system. 1. Four Contextual Fators Apple have shown an ample example that they have implemented the four contextual factors in the organization which then lead to their organization successfulness. i. Culture – Steve Jobs, the founder of the organization have a clear vision and yet simple that he wants the whole organization to know. â€Å"Bringing the best personal computing, mobile communication, and portable digital music and video experience to consumers, students, educators, businesses, and government agencies through its innovative hardware, software, peripherals, services, and Internet offerings. Steve Jobs. ii. Strategy – Apple Inc. also spends a fair time of training and or re-training its employees on a global scale and comes up with many new devices to not only keep the shareholders happy, but also by braining storming and coming up with new technology so in which Apple Inc. can hire new employees; thus helping the global economy. Apple Inc. understands, as new ventu re grows, there can be a need for more and more administration. (Hisrich, Peters, 2010, p. p. 127) iii.Culture – Team building and team sustaining with repositioning is and can be a gruesome task, however ‘Time heals all wounds unless you pick at them. ’ (Shawn Alexander www. bellaonl ine. com/articles/art11602. asp) Managers worldwide can look at Apple Inc and learn that with any type of conflict; where it is by internal or external nature; can be maintained and or healed if the organization has a team willing to work and learn together if the team is willing to collaborate systematically. v. Enviroment – People believe that the leaders in the organization, especially Steve Jobs are one of the reasons for the organizational success; Human resources are a very important. Apple has been known to be a good employer. Its employees are appreciated and valued. They are provided with a healthy work culture that comes from learning organization, some of them feel that Apple has a wrong human resource strategy as they maintain secrecy.
